The history of The Tracksuit Mafia Social Group stared with a name and a necklace! That name was g-Pa (for Gangster Grandpa) and with it, a gaudy bling necklace. But what did you expect from a child born in the 80s? And to mark the grand occasion, I purchased this exquisite piece of bling! I knew it would be fantastic because the shipping cost twice as much as the necklace! In fact, it was so bougie that it tarnished during shipping!
I double-dog dare you!
While popping tags in Austin, I fell in love with a green plaid hat. Admittedly I was maybe overly excited believing that I had become a trailblazer of high fashion! I shared my new ensemble with a friend. His dare changed everything!
Now You Need a Tracksuit!
I immediately replied that his dare was the most fantastic idea that I've ever heard! In my trailblaze to glory, of course, I bought the most ridiculous tracksuit I could find! How outlandish, so outlandish another friend just had to buy one too!
... then another... then another... then another... then another...
The Tracksuit Mafia was born!
Our first meeting was amazing! I'm not sure what we were expecting but we were blown away from the positive reception! Several people approached us asking who we were, what we were doing, and how they could participate. At this time it was really a one-time thing. As it would happen, the first friend who bought a tracksuit had the work that night so we had another event! Our second event was exactly like the first. This time it clicked and we knew we were on to something!

To connect our communities, one real person at a time! We crowdsource events with our Associates to find things to do in their community.
I'm still shocked how this became a thing! I blame it on awesome friends with terrible and fantastic ideas!
